I wrote these lines for almost half a year.
But I bet you'll read it only up to here.
You've got a short attention span, you see.
An extreme case of attention deficiency.
You'd ask me to tell you 'bout my day.
But lose your thought barely half the way.
You live and love the way you want to.
A euphemism for what I'd call "Impromptu".
On trips and sprees you never pass a chance.
You take a leap with barely half a glance.
In any quest under the sun,
You'll give your all for good clean fun.
Prepare, O shores! And brace, O skies!
Lest you be taken by surprise --
A daring wanderer's on the loose
Who'll toss a coin to pick and choose.
Detailed plots none have thine.
Thy lifelong plan is thy whim's design.
You say to leave the questions would be the best,
Just glide and stride and love the quest.
Just climb the climb and run the run,
Cause when you plan the plan, it ain't as fun.
Don't have no fear for mess nor harm
Cause you can get away with style and charm!
With your wit and pranks and sassiness,
You give the world some awkward happiness.
But we won't have it any other way,
We'll take your fancies any given day --
Those secret gigs and random bouts of cliquishness
That end with big tight hugs and little flying kisses.
Don't fret, you know the truth that some do.
I think the world can never have enough of you.
We can take a page from your child-like curiosity,
And write an ode to your free-spirited spontaneity!
But for Amber's fate and Skyler's sake,
Go live the life but please be safe.
I know you'll never reach this part of this word play
But I guess I'll just say it anyway:
We love you dear, you know we do,
All one hundred forty pounds of you!
